On December 6, 2010 members of Congress wrote a National Motto Letter to President Obama in response to a speech that he gave on November 10, 2010 at the University of Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The members of Congress “respectfully requested that President Obama issue a correction to the speech [he] gave, as it does not accurately reflect America and serves to undercut an important part of our history.”
Will President Obama respond?
