Daily Caller reports “Conyers Reluctantly Leaves House Judiciary Committee.” “To be clear, I would like very much to remain as Ranking Member,” Conyers said in a statement. “There is still much work to be done on core concerns like securing civil rights, enacting meaningful criminal justice reform…” Read more HERE.
He and his committee have had 10 years to secure civil rights and enact meaningful criminal justice reform!

New York Post reports ““I have come to believe that my presence as Ranking Member on the Committee would not serve these efforts while the Ethics Committee investigation is pending,” Conyers (D-Detroit) said in the statement. “I cannot in good conscience allow these charges to undermine my colleagues in the Democratic Caucus, and my friends on both sides of the aisle in the Judiciary Committee and the House of Representatives.”
Conyers, 88, is the longest serving House member. BuzzFeed reported last week the contents of the secret $27,000 settlement agreement Conyers paid with taxpayer funds to a former staffer who said she was fired for rejecting Conyers’ sexual advances.
Conyers has admitted to the payment but denied any wrongdoing.
“I deny these allegations, many of which were raised by documents reportedly paid for by a partisan alt-right blogger,” Conyers said, referring to the settlement papers obtained by Mike Cernovich and passed along to the news site. Read more HERE.

“It was revealed Monday evening that one Congressman who settled a harassment suit in 2015 was Democrat Rep John Conyers. According to affidavits, Conyers used taxpayer money to fly women into D.C. to meet with him in hotel rooms!

Michigan Rep. John Conyers, a Democrat and the longest-serving member of the House of Representatives, settled a wrongful dismissal complaint in 2015 with a former employee who alleged she was fired because she would not “succumb to [his] sexual advances.”

The assistance of Senator Susan Collins was sought in obtaining a full investigation into Official Corruption and cover up involving, but not limited to, Federal officials within the Department of Justice with documents presented to her on September 19, 2014. Senator Collins agrees that evidence presented her was a criminal matter. She has chosen to ignore and cover this up! Yet, she is quick to state that Roy Moore should immediately step aside as a Senate candidate “if there is any truth to the allegations.”

The U.S. Department of Justice – Office of the Inspector General determined that the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys management should review a complaint. The complaint filed were not allegations, but very well documented and the facts justify the need for investigation.
As Senator Collins continues to “wallow in the swamp”, AG Sessions continues in the same pattern as previous Attorneys General. Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz has questions to answer also.

PPH reported “U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, took a tougher stand against Roy Moore on Monday, calling for him to step aside in his bid to be the next U.S. senator from Alabama because of alleged sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl decades ago, when he was in his early 30s.
“I have now read Mr. Moore’s statement and listened to his radio interview in which he denies the charges. I did not find his denials to be convincing and believe that he should withdraw from the Senate race in Alabama,” Collins said in a tweet.
The Maine Republican had issued a more measured response last week, saying in a tweet that “If there is any truth at all to these horrific allegations, Roy Moore should immediately step aside as a Senate candidate.” Read more HERE.
