    It goes to show that the legislature in 1825 believed that the students should know their own state constitution as well as the general government’s constitution.

    In other words, they valued education.

    Not so today.

    What we have today is the deliberate “dumbing down” of the students in order to keep them in place as good “little slaves” and also to prevent them from questioning things.
