I do not know much about Common Core as I do not have children. Can anyone answer these questions: 1. Why does a student age 13 in Middle school (grade 7) take these courses: math, science, geography, and volcabulary (words) but not English Grammar? 2. Why does a 30 yr.old woman who has intelligence only attained a 3rd grade level of basic education in Maine? 3. Does Maine have Intelligence and Academic Testing in its School System which can evaluate a student’s ability to do the work required of them to bring them to graduation? 4. For those students with “Special Needs Education”, has Maine provided qualified Teachers to teach these kids?
Margot, it would take too long to answer your questions in this comment section. Go to Charlotte’s links and start to learn. Lots of info there.
